Built upon authentic ANH lineage, it preserves the intimidating low brow and aggressive expression that made the original 1977 helmet so unforgettable while introducing the richer gloss and refined finish that would later define Vader’s appearance in The Empire Strikes Back.

The Concept

The original ANH helmet possesses a darker, more intimidating personality. Its lower brow casts deeper shadows across the eyes, giving Vader an unmistakably predatory appearance.

As the costume evolved into ESB, the finish became cleaner and glossier, creating a more polished look.

The Dark Lord Elite imagines the transition between those two eras.

A helmet that retains the aggressive character of ANH while embracing the premium finish that hints at what was still to come.

The result feels familiar—as though it could have existed naturally between the first two films.

Every Dark Lord Elite is individually handcrafted using three signature Shadow FX Studios finishes.

Obsidian Gray

A custom metallic gray inspired by volcanic obsidian. Deep enough to preserve Vader’s imposing presence while revealing subtle metallic character as light moves across the surface.

Sith Black

An ultra-deep black developed to give the dome and trim exceptional depth while maintaining the unmistakable silhouette of Vader.

SFX Signature Clear

Our premium high-gloss finish that creates remarkable depth, reflection, and durability while allowing the sculpt itself to become part of the presentation.
